Mission Niramaya aims to position Uttar Pradesh as a leader in nursing, paramedical, and midwifery education by transforming the human resources in the healthcare system in Uttar Pradesh through improved education and training of students, by establishing a rating mechanism and mentorship program for colleges, bringing in transparency, incorporating global best practices, and elevating the perception of the cadres and  professions.

Strategy pillars to achieve our mission:

Improving medical education:

We will work with institutions to improve the quality of education and training provided to nursing, paramedical and midwifery cadres, and ensure that students are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their careers.

  • Establishing a rating mechanism is a key strategy for achieving the mission of Mission Niramaya. By creating a system to rate mechanism, we can identify areas for the institutes where they need improvement and provide a targeted intervention with the support of mentor institutes. This will help to ensure that all institutions are providing high-quality education and training to nursing and paramedical and that students are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their careers.
  • Mentoring the institutions is an important step to creating a robust ecosystem of mentoring where we establish a group of mentor institutions that will further improve the areas where they are lacking and then work with low-performing institutions (referred to as mentee institutes) to ensure that their standards are improved on markers that they are lagging on. This approach aims to raise the standards of the mentee institutes through guidance and support from the more experienced and successful mentor institutions.
  • Skills up-gradation: We will provide continuous skills up-gradation for the students.
  • Digitization and transparency: We will ensure digitization, and transparency at all levels including conducting the examination process will go a long way in establishing the credibility of our network of colleges at national as well as international levels.

Counseling of students:

We will provide counseling of students about the available avenues and opportunities in the field.

Perception change:

By promoting nursing as a rewarding and fulfilling profession, we can attract more young people to consider nursing as a career path. This will help to address the current shortage of nurses in the state, and ensure that there are enough qualified healthcare professionals to meet the needs of the community.

Policy reforms:

We will introduce policy reforms at the state level and advocate for reforms at the GOI level in various policies to ensure that the nursing, paramedical, and midwifery streams are seen as attractive, rewarding, and well-compensated, so that we can attract the best and brightest individuals to join the healthcare workforce and deliver quality care to all.


We will collaborate with other organizations, healthcare providers, and government agencies to achieve our mission and make a positive impact on the healthcare system in Uttar Pradesh, nationally, and internationally.

Continuous monitoring and evaluation:

We will continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our strategies, and make adjustments as needed to ensure we are meeting our mission goals.
