Aim :
Creating nursing procedure videos serves as a vital educational tool to enhance the clinical competence of nursing students and professionals by offering clear, standardized visual demonstrations of essential procedures.
Purpose:
The purpose of preparing these videos on nursing procedures is to equip nurses with clinical nursing skills, which will enable them to dispatch their responsibility as well as to develop uniformity among Uttar Pradesh nursing professionals. These videos also serve as a reference and digital learning material for both nursing teachers and students.
Methodology :
These videos, developed through collaboration between Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate
Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) Nursing College, Lucknow and the UP-State
Nursing Council, aim to ensure uniformity in skill development across the state. Filmed
in Hindi and aligned with the OSCE checklist.
The videos cover prioritized procedures from various nursing domains such as:
- Fundamentals of Nursing
- Medical-Surgical Nursing
- Child Health Nursing
- Mental Health Nursing
- Obstetric and Gynecological Nursing
- Community Health Nursing.
With careful planning, consent, and review by the CNPD committee, these high-quality instructional resources already accessible through Uttar Pradesh State Medical Faculty (UPSMF) official YouTube channel complement traditional teaching methods, support continuous learning, and help build the confidence and capability of nurses to perform procedures safely and effectively.
