Webinar on Principles of Teaching in Nursing Education
Introduction :
The principles of teaching are essential in nursing education, helping educators create student-centered, engaging environments that promote critical thinking and skill development. By applying these principles, educators can tailor their teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, promoting a student-centred approach that encourages active learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving. These principles support the training of competent, compassionate nurses capable of delivering high-quality care. To reinforce this, a webinar was organized by the UP State Nursing Council, Lucknow.
Objectives :
The objective of the webinar was to improve the teaching skills of the teachers and to guide the teachers to make the teaching more effective and to get good output of the teaching.
Topic :
“Principles of teaching in Nursing Education”.
Participants:
All the principals and teaching faculty of nursing institutions in UP.
Methodology:
All districts in UP were merged zone wise i.e. Zone one on April 23rd ,2023 (222 institutes), zone two on April 27th,2023 (224 institutes) and zone three on April 28th ,2023 (201 institutes). Webinar was conducted for three hours i.e., from 2pm to 5pm for each session.

Conclusion :

Integrating them into webinars enhances student engagement and deepens understanding. As nursing education evolves, staying updated on best teaching practices ensures graduates are well-equipped to excel and contribute to the advancement of the profession.
